Research in international law

This is an exciting time to work in international law. The international legal system is expanding and deepening. Its interactions with domestic legal orders become ever more apparent. International law has gained a practical dimension. At the same time, critical approaches have deepened our understanding of its theoretical premises and biases. 

International law is one of our core areas of research at the School of Law. We have a vibrant research community which publishes frequently and has regular events and activities.

Our specialised taught masters programmes International Law (LLM), International Law & Security (LLM), and The Erasmus Mundus Master in International Law of Global Security, Peace and Development (ILGSPD) are research-led, and attract students from around the world.

We welcome inquiries about collaborative research projects, and from prospective postgraduate research students.
